WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
Private-Public Screenings began on November 25th 2011. Anyone can host a screening and the rules for Private-Public Screenings are very simple. The screenings needs to be public and have a minimum capacity of 5 people and free entrance. Private-Public Screenings can take place in people’s homes, at cafés, in libraries – pretty much anywhere. You can read more about them at Host a Screening.
Official Screenings are hosted by venues, cinemas, festivals or other players in the cultural and entertainment world. They can be free, they can have an entrance fee, they can be part of film festivals or concerts.
